Vintage Port Wine

Vintage is the highest classification that can be assigned to a Porto wine. It only represents 1% of the whole production of Porto wine obtained from one single crop.  This denomination is only achieved in years of exceptional quality.

Porto Wine Vintage ages in wood casks by a maximum period of two years and a half. Afterwards it is bottled where the age process continues so that the future generation can taste it. In fact, only after decades or even one century of history this wine will reaches its maximum exponent. In order to be succeed, the bottle should lie in a horizontal position and shouldn’t suffer thermal shocks. It also needs to be protected from sun light.

When you are presented to a Sheik bottle it means that the bottle belongs to a unique lot that someone has shared to you…
